TakePoint was proudly founded by Leo II, a decorated and combat-disabled U.S. Army veteran whose journey from military service to entrepreneurship is rooted in leadership, discipline, humbleness, commitment and service to others.
Leo II completed a combat tours as an 11A officer with an elite light infantry unit, operating in high-threat environments. He also deployed as a 66H surgical RN, serving on a Forward Support FAST team as part of a Combat Support Hospital, where he provided critical trauma care in austere battlefield conditions.
Following active duty, he continued his service as a Military Police (MP) in the U.S. Army Reserves, and as a contractor bringing together his operational, medical, and leadership experience. He was medically retired as an 100% vet after two separate enlistments, concluding a distinguished military career that now fuels the mission of TakePoint.
Leo’s education hails from Polk State College, South Carolina State University, and currently Seminole State College, where he is consistently furthering his studies. In addition to his academic achievements, Leo has completed numerous military schools and security-related training programs, allowing him to continuously hone his skills and remain current in industry best practices.
